| WCKC MEETING MINUTES December 11, 2011 CALL TO ORDER Mary called the meeting to order at 2:15 pm. LAST MEETING’S MINUTES There were no corrections so the minutes stand approved as published. PRESIDENT’S REPORT Mary-Welcome to everyone to our annual Christmas party. We’re glad you all made it. RECORDING SECRETARY’S REPORT Shannon-No Report. TREASURER’S REPORT Jim-He passed out his report. Puppy training is now included in the totals. We have an $8-9000 profit this year, which is awesome for a club like ours. We are still looking to use that income for a facility of our own. CORRESPONDING SECRETARY’S REPORT Robin-Received a letter from AKC about needing some paperwork for our show. Robin will get the information to Diane this week so she can act on it if necessary. 1st VICE PRESIDENT (PROGRAMS) Jaime-Not Present. 2nd VICE PRESIDENT (TRAINING) Suzy-Not Present. Suzy is looking into dates for our next round of classes likely to begin in February. SHOW COMMITTEE Diane-Everything is good right now. The main thing is to make sure trophy sponsorship is done. This is the last month to sign up. We don’t need the money right now, just the paperwork. We still have quite a few unsponsored groups and breeds. PUPPY MATCH Kim-Everything is ready. The date is Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Lebanon Armory. Kim mentioned maybe adding an additional award for a miscellaneous match we would hold before best in show. We agreed to do this at the match and possibly look into making the addition at our shows as well. It’s a nice little extra and many clubs are making this addition to their shows. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Business Cards-Jim and Naomi had a new draft of the business cards for everyone to look at. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Elections were held and officers were elected as were nominated by the Nominating Committee. President - Mary Wuest 1st Vice President (Programs) - Jeremy Shearer 2nd Vice President (Training) - Suzy Lundy Recording Secretary - Shannon Shearer Corresponding Secretary - Austin Schaffter Treasurer - Jim Pricket Board Members - Kim Schaffter, Bobbie Gratz, Robin Heizer NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION We received a new membership application from Naomi Beck. Voting date on her application will be February 16, 2012. INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS Welcome back again to Naomi Beck. Kim & Austin Schaffter-12/11/11-Su & Danny finished 3rd Ch., Ready to breed 1st little and found sire!! Melissa Koch-Bixby-at Kuliga Dog training clubs first TDAA agility trial Bixby ran in 2 of the games and Qed in Game 1 pinball wizard. He needs one more Q to earn his first Agility Trial. Melissa Koch-Xena-Novemer @ Crossroad CPE Agility trial Xena had a perfect weekend. Qing in all 8 runs. Dec. 2-Clermont’s CPE trial Xena Q in 8 out of 10 runs. She now has 2090 pts toward her Gate title. Kuliga Trust TDAA trial Xena Q in 2 out of 6 standard runs and 3 out of four games. Linda & Ken Luzader-12/11/11-Lovey-at the German Shepherd Club of Cincinnati Lovey received 2 legs for her Beginner Novice. She got the first leg at Dayton. New title Beginner Novice. Thank you to everyone who donated items for Circle Tail. Ken motioned for us to also include a monetary donation from the club of $100. Mary seconded. Motion approved. Melissa motioned for us to give a $50 donation to the Waynesville Church of Christ as a thank you for allowing us to use their building once again this year for our party. Shannon seconded.
